The Chair is pleased to help publicize two upcoming UNESCO online seminars on Harnessing New and Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Development in Africa. These seminars are part of the series on Transforming Knowledge for Africa’s FutureĀ and will be held via Zoom platform.

The first seminar, held on Thursday, November 30th, from 14:00 – 15:30 (Paris time), will be about Advancing the Recommendation on Open Educational Resources. This seminar aims to gather insights and recommendations on how Open Educational Resources can be leveraged and best supported for sustainable development in Africa. The second seminar, held on Tuesday, December 5th, from 15:00 – 16:30 (Paris time), will be about Advancing the Reflection and the Action on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. This seminar aims to foster critical reflections on the responsible development and deployment of AI technologies and facilitate collaboration to strengthen Africa’s capacities to navigate the ethics of AI.
