Social Media in the Middle East

The University of Oregon-UNESCO Crossings Institute is proud to be a repository for the work undertaken by UO Professor Damian Radcliffe charting changes in social media habits in the Middle East.

Professor Radcliffe has been producing annual studies on this theme since 2012, the year after the Arab Spring, an event that put the potential potency of social media in the region on the geo-political map. Since 2017, these reports have been co-authored with University of Oregon students. Ph.D. candidate Hadil Abuhmaid has co-authored the past four papers.
